Monthly Archives: March 2011

I know all of my readers out there are outraged at my lack of posting lately.  I’m sorry, it’s been a weird few weeks of late and I have had some issues to sort out*.

I’ll be back soon with the good stuff, lots to tell you about.

*the tale is not for publication

A busy week ahead

So then, a week off work. Happy days. A week away from the tedium of others’ impatience and unrealistic expectations. A week away from the drudgery of working for bastards and buttons. I simply cannot wait. As ever though, your faithful correspondent is as poor as a church mouse, so I won’t be travelling abroad. No, next week I have decided to live the life of gentleman about town. I shall breakfast at leisure (a table at The Wolseley is already booked) and spend my days around this magnificent city. Not the usual edifices of culture for me, although one or two are standard tourist fare. Instead, I shall be taking in the delights of such places as The Old Operating Theatre & Herb Garret, The Anaesthesia Museum and The Library & Museum of Freemasonry to name but a few. An eclectic mix, to be sure, but along with the other places on my itinerary it should make for a fascinating week. And of course, I will be sharing all my discoveries and thoughts with you, stalwart reader.

I won’t bore you with the full itinerary here and now, but will simply post with the day’s events. Perhaps, if you are very lucky, a couple of blurred, out-of-focus snaps may also appear on the blog. Happy days indeed.
